Hello
I am an economist and data scientist.
I have worked, taught, or been affiliated with Purdue University, the Stanford University Law School, the University of California Berkeley, the University of Colorado, and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
Most recently, I was an Associate Professor at EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland.
My research has been published in The Review of Economics and Statistics, The RAND Journal of Economics, The Journal of Economics and Management Strategy, The Strategic Management Journal, The Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, the US National Bureau of Economic Research, and the IEEE.
My teaching spans business strategy, entrepreneurship, financial economics, computational methods, data science, intellectual property, and computational law.
My consulting includes projects in industry, Executive Education, and the foundation of the Data Science for Managers program.
I'm also an entrepreneur.
I've raised funding and co-founded five companies.
Along the way, I have also led teams and served as Chief Technology Officer, Chief Science Officer, Director of Development, and CEO.
When I am not working, I'm climbing.
Currently, I am on an extended sabbatical to spend more time outdoors.
I also work on public service projects regardingthe development and regulation of Artificial Intelligence.
